De Tomintoul distilleerderij heeft een aantal Sauternes wijnvaten kunnen gebruiken om een bijzondere “Limited Edition” te maken.  Deze Tomintoul whisky is in 2004 gedistilleerd en heeft in eerste instantie gerijpt in ex-Bourbon vaten.

Ian MacLeod bottelde deze whisky na een finish op een rum vat. Slechts 600 flessen zijn er geproduceerd, voor de Nederlandse markt.
