The NV Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/ amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer.
Een vrolijkmakende champagne met karakter. Licht bloemig en citrusachtig in de geur. Geconcentreerd met zachte appel, sappige peer en het notige van amandel en hazelnoot.

Not at all oaky but rounded by the time in big oak. Ripe fruit with freshness from the stems and just a touch of fruit sweetness on the finish. A complete wine.

This is a wine for cellaring not drinking now. Less immeiately conmmunicative than the Dom Rafael 2020 but very promising. A rich palate with real substance. Firm, fine and polished.
The palate is crisp and tensile, quite open-knit with tropical notes evolving (Clementine and pineapple), though it retains sufficient mineralité and tension on the finish. Classy, in a discreet way.
