Het bouwen van de Ardnamurchan Distillery startte in 2013 en is officieel geopend voor productie door HRH The Princess Royal (Anne Mountbatten-Windsor) op 25 juli 2014. De ownership group en originele distilleerderij kunnen worden teruggevonden in 1826 in Glasgow city waar de orginele distilleerderij stond waar nu de Glasgow Central Mosque staat.
