GEAL-Pure Single Rum De Islay Rum is de eerste en enige rum-distilleerderij tot nu toe op het eiland Islay, gelegen tussen Kilnaughton Bay in Port Ellen en de Borraichill.

Het Hospices de Nuits werd opgericht in 1270, op het hoogtepunt van de Middeleeuwen, nog voor dat van Beaune, als een ziekenhuis om de armen op te vangen en te behandelen.
