Onze natuurwijnen

Natuurwijn (ook wel vin nature of vin naturel) wordt steeds populairder. Het lastige aan dit type wijn is dat er (nog) geen officiële definitie bestaat. In principe wordt een natuurwijn gemaakt door op zo natuurlijk mogelijke wijze te werken in de wijngaard en de kelder. De meningen over de exacte invulling daarvan lopen echter nogal uiteen. Om u toch inzichtelijk te maken welke wijnen in ons assortiment als natuurwijn beschouwd kunnen worden, hanteren wij de criteria die het Britse wijnmagazine Decanter heeft opgesteld:

  • Biologisch of biodynamisch bewerkte wijngaarden (met een sterke voorkeur voor officiële certificering)
  • Fermentatie met druifeigen (‘wilde’) gisten
  • Geen toevoeging van enzymen
  • Geen gebruik van additieven (zoals zuur, tannine of kleurstoffen) afgezien van SO2
  • SO2 niet hoger dan 70mg/l
  • Geen klaring en geen (of lichte) filtering
  • Geen andere ingrijpende manipulaties (zoals omgekeerde osmose of koude persing)
